Supporting Literacy and Language Development for Dual Language Learners
Session 4 - Building Vocabulary and Oral Language Skills

The more intentional and focused support young children who are Dual Language Learners (DLL) receive around language and literacy development, the greater their understanding and use of their home language and English will be. This session introduces participants to the “Big 5” early oral and written language abilities that children need in order to become literate. The session also focuses on one of those abilities, oral language and vocabulary.
