Working with Multi-Stressed Families

When we provide care and education for young children, we work closely with family members and caregivers. Many families experience a variety of stressors and sometimes it can feel overwhelming to us as child care providers. Join us for this two-part workshop to explore how stress can affect all members of a family and what we can do to provide support and healing as a consistent, competent and compassionate adult in the lives of families. In addition, come learn about the idea of secondary trauma and the importance of noticing our stress and integrating strategies to help mitigate the effect of other peoples' trauma on our own lives. Must attend both sessions!
