Social Emotional Development within the Context of Relationships
What is it and how does it happen?

This is the first in a series of three trainings on supporting the development of social-emotional competence in infants and toddlers within the context of relationships. Participants will explore the Pyramid Model as a framework to guide adult behavior in supporting children’s development of social emotional competence using a problem-solving approach to challenging behavior. We will identify practices across the tiers of support and intervention and begin to identify children’s cues and how young children use behavior to communicate a wide range of needs.
