Being patient does help when caring and teaching young children. What is even more helpful in the long run is understanding some of the core reasons that children think, learn and respond the way that they do. This class will provide an overview of developmental issues that shape children's behaviors as well as some insight into the ways that we respond to their actions. Finally, there will be some ideas on simple and effective strategies that benefit children and the people who care for them.
