In this class we will learn how to set up a journal for children ages 2-5, and how to teach pre reading and pre writing skills such as: holding a pencil, drawing skills, developing fine motor skills, increasing attention span (making books engaging), respect for books and encouraging book use, and other strategies and activities for making reading and writing fun early on, to encourage literacy later in life and prepare children for elementary school.
