Best Practices in Family Child Care Record-Keeping for Taxes

Now is the time to set up your record-keeping systems for the coming year. Keeping good records can help you save as much as $50 in taxes for every $100 you spend on your business. Good record keeping can help you in disputes with parents and help you meet the requirements of ELD, DHS, and the USDA program. Topics will include income tax, self-employment tax, deductible expenses, time-space calculations, the EIN, accounting methods, and useful forms.
