Entering the Early Childhood Profession: Connecting to the Field
First Steps to Starting your Career
Participants will learn what Childcare and Early Education Professionals do to serve families, children, and communities. Learn about how you can make a positive impact on the youngest learners through participating in active side-by-side play and exploration. You will explore foundational concepts of creating nurturing environments and responsive relationships. You will explore the lay of the land in the field with regards to shortage of childcare and workforce and how you can help respond to this high-need field in our community. You will become familiar with programs in your local community with job openings, options to create your own in-home family care program, and the safety-set and initial required trainings required to enter the field and how CCR&R can support you in completing these steps.
