Self-Regulation and Resilience

Learn more about the crisis in self-regulation being seen with children and families, understand some of the root causes, and develop tools to increase your own self-regulation skills as well as the skills of people and children you work with. Includes a brief review of the NEAR curriculum (Neurobiology, Epigenetics, ACEs and Resilience) from ACES training sessions, new child development and family dynamics information, discussions on triggers and coping mechanisms, and examples of simple practices that can be done daily to increase self-regulation.
