Educational and Service Equity Training
In this 8 hour training participants will have an opportunity to examine definitions of diversity, identity, inclusion, intersectionality, race and gender as social constructs, and the meaning and implications of educational and service equity.
A review of the interplay of implicit bias, systemic oppression, power and privilege, stereotypes, the brain and perception, and ACEs will introduce a deeper discussion of how to value the families we serve to interrupt oppressive institutional practices by establishing culturally responsive practices, and strategies to implement this approach in our own organization and throughout the community as a collaborative effort.
