This presentation focuses on the impact of Diabetes on young children. According to the CDC, more than 208,000 people younger than 20 have this disease. That number includes both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Participants will be guided through discussions of how diabetes affects the lives of younger children and how childcare providers can work with families. Prevention and Nutrition will be the key emphasis.
