SPOTLIGHT: Social-Emotional Skills of Young Children
Social and emotional development begins before birth and becomes increasingly complex as the child grows. We just want kids to get along, control their emotions, and be happy; yet daily are challenged to meet the needs of individual children in care. Understanding more of the developmental dynamics of these complicated skills will better prepare us for meeting the needs of children and fostering healthy social and emotional growth.
