Risks & Consequences of Child Neglect & Rejection

How does hostile or helpless parenting affect a child’s behavior and mental development? Using modern attachment theory we will examine the risks and consequences of child neglect and/or rejection. Through discussion and case studies we will explore social/emotional development within the context of challenged family environments and strategies for practitioners to meet the needs of children.
