Adapting Parent-Child Interaction Therapy Skills in Child Care Settings
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy is an intensive therapy aimed at improving behavior by promoting positive parent-child relationships. It uses in the moment, experience-based methods and coaching. Parents are taught skills to manage behaviors and be more in tune with their child.
Child care providers are invited to learn about PCIT skills that can be adapted in a child care setting to improve interactions with children experiencing behavioral challenges.
