This workshop series will meet once a week for 10 weeks.

• Give yourself a skill boost while connecting with other
parents and child care providers in the area.
• Acquire new techniques for calming and comforting
children with special needs and health concerns.
• Gain coping strategies & socialization supports.
• Learn how to advocate for children with special needs.

Sessions will be held once a week on Tuesday evenings.
Session #1-Welcome to Holland and Hopes and Fears CKC=2 hours Special Needs (SN)

Session #2- Brain Development, Temperament, Attachment, and Ages & Stages CKC=1 hour UGB, 1 hour OA

Session #3- Parenting Styles and Structures/ Grief & Loss/ Praise CKC=1 hour FCS, 1 hour UGB

Session #4- Personal Power and Independence CKC= 2 hours SN

Session #5- Morals, Values, Family Rules, and Discipline CKC= 1 hour UGB, 1 hour FCS

Session #6- Health and Healing/Dental Care/Nutrition CKC= 2 hours SN

Session #7- Feelings and Needs CKC= 2 hours SN

Session #8- Coping and Socialization/Sibling Support CKC= 2 hours FCS

Session #9- Stress/ Play/ Autism CKC= 2 hours SN

Session #10- Communication and Advocacy CKC= 2 hours SN
