Classroom Management: Stop Problems Before They Start

Come to this workshop and learn how to prevent many common classroom management issues by giving children the tools they need to handle situations calmly and successfully.  When children know what is expected of them and are able to do it, they feel confident, secure, and capable.  Participates will learn how to teach role-play activities to children to help them prepare for everyday events such as transitions, group-time, and more challenging times when conflicts arise.  Through engaging in these role-plays, children will be able to practice what to say and what to do before the situation arises, facilitating the development of self-control and empathy.  These activities can be easily integrated into any environment for young children.  This session is appropriate for beginning, intermediate, and advanced level early childhood professionals.
