A Book can Create Wonder
Dramatic play is not only one of the most natural ways that young children learn about themselves and others, it is an excellent tool for building their literacy skills. If you’ve ever played “peek-a-boo” with an infant, pretended to talk on the telephone with a toddler, had preschoolers play with dress-up clothes or watched school-age children put on a magic show, you have helped children engage in dramatic play. In this class we will talk about ways to engage children through the use of story, and create dramatic play through a number of hands on activities.
