Understanding Autism

This training will provide participants with a basic understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). It will cover the four areas of ASD: communication, social interaction, repetitive patterns of behavior, and sensory needs, along with common characteristics and behaviors. Participants will learn simple useful strategies for working with children with ASD individually and in a group setting. I will also discuss sensory processing and share sensory strategies for home and school.
