This training will provide a checklist of Kindergarten Readiness Skills to those who are preparing children for Kindergarten. Each session will provide a complete checklist with the most important stills needed in the are-as of Literacy, Math, and Social-Emotional Learning. Each session will highlight different skills in each of the three areas as well as provide examples of simple, practical, hands-on materials and resources available to help teach those skills in a preschool setting. Each session will cover the three main areas of learning, but the specific skills and examples will vary for each of the three sessions. Providers are encouraged to attend the 3 sessions that are held in their neighborhood elementary school. (Sessions at Astoria, Knappa and Warrenton will be scheduled at a later date.)
