Messages in the Environment

This course will focus on the classroom environment. How the classroom is arranged conveys strong messages and supports children’s learning. A developmentally appropriate environment creates a safe place where children can learn and explore. Understanding how the classroom serves as a key component in the child’s learning is essential to a quality early child development program. Participants will reflect on their current classroom environment, and will then design a plan to enrich and enhance the environment to meet the needs of the children.
