Supporting English Language Learners

Participants will examine the development of home language and the acquisition of a second language; practice implementing strategies for supporting home language development and English language learning; and explore ideas for literacy materials, props, and ways to develop linguistically appropriate programs and environments to meet the needs of English language learners.
