The Art of Science
Exploring Creativity as a Foundation for Inquiry

In this interactive training, participants will explore the critical connections between the STEM fields and the creative arts. Through hands-on activities, discussion, and lecture, we will consider the inherent connections between early experiences in the arts as a foundation for scientific understandings. Through the creative experiences in dramatic play, painting, open ended exploration with objects, and creative movement, children learn foundational understandings of chemistry, physics, biology, and ecology.
