Respectful Accommodations
Making programs accessible to children with disabilities requires creative, responsive accommodations. The Americans with Disabilities Act addresses the necessity of making accommodations for children with disabilities so they can participate in community programs. This workshop discusses what constitutes a “respectful accommodation.” Specific accommodations for children with various disabilities are included.
