Reggio Emilia
Using Your Environment As an Animating Force

Not many modern Early Childhood approaches can trace their philosophy back to the original source. In this workshop, we will discover the Reggio Emelia approach and explore it's beginings in a small villiage in Italy..Led by a man named Loris Malaguzzi. Loris held that children are not empty vessels, they are fully capable of building their own theories. Currently, we call this Emergent Curriculum. Through this course, providers will gain a sense of ancestory and utilize tools such as provocations, projects and documentation and using their classroom or learning environment as the "3rd teacher" . By learning and supporting each other in "webbing" you will leave with a new sense of teaching!
