Diversity and Compassion
Through examination of two books: The Trouble with Black Boys and Other Reflections on Race, Equity and the Future of Public Education by Pedro Noguera; and Thupten Jinpa’s latest book, A Fearless Heart, we will gain awareness of environments and activities that reflect a diverse community in both public education and early childhood learning. Prior reading of Pedro Noguera’s book would be helpful, but not mandatory. (All Ages)
