Making Gains with Children/Youth with Challenging Behavior using the Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) Approach
Challenging behavior has traditionally been viewed as willful, leading to approaches focused on rewards/punishments. Research on CPS has demonstrated that children demonstrating chronic challenging behavior do so as the result of lagging skills. This training provides instruction and application in the use of functional strategies designed to build skills and decrease challenging behaviors.
