Exploring Diversity in Children's Literature

In this interactive workshop participants will explore books that reflect community diversity and cultures while examining perspectives that shape cultural identity. Participants will learn about and apply effective strategies in literacy that they can use in the classroom to promote preschool and school age children’s development and learning in culturally relevant ways.
