Utilizing Observation in Understanding and Guiding Children with Challenging Behaviors

Based on the PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports) Modules, participants will examine the meaning behind "challenging behavior" and how positive relationships are the foundation to address social and emotional needs. We will explore strategies and tools for the promotion of healthy development and relationship building. By exploring and applying techniques and methods of observation and assessment, you will leave with a plan focused on supporting social-emotional, behavioral and develop-mental skills that support children's success in your child care setting.
