Play it Safe
Disaster preparedness
One of the best ways to save lives in an emergency is to be prepared. Children are more vulnerable than adults in emergency situations. Take steps to protect yourself and children you care for.
Let us help you prepare by helping you:
• Identify hazards and risks at your child care site. When to leave and when to stay put.
• Getting to know and mapping your surrounding areas.
• Developing a go pack for you and the children you care for.
• Create a written plan that addresses the emergency needs of your program.
• Communicate, share, practice, and update you emergency plan on a regular basis.
