Understanding Foundations of Geometry and Spatial Sense, Patterns,Measurement and Comparison School Age
Session 2

Participants will be introduced to the foundations of math knowledge and skills from ages five to twelve and gain an understanding of how children learn about attributes of objects, time, money, units of measurement in fractions and decimals and how data is represented and interrupted. Participants will become aware of ways to promote children's knowledge of geometry, measurement and data with children's skills in using math as a part of everyday experiences. Techniques in helping school age children with homework will also be discussed in helping children master common core standards.
