Strengthening Emotional Literacy

Emotional Literacy is the ability to recognize, understand and appropriately express our emotions. Just as verbal literacy is the basic building-block for reading and writing, emotional literacy is the basis for perceiving and communicating emotions. It is a key element to mental health, acedemic achievement and overall well-being. Dr. Ann Corwin will share the basic biology of feelings as well as specific tools on how to deal with feelings. Gain awareness about the importance of emotional literacy to build resiliency using the Protective Framework for Families.
