This class will help child care providers to learn better forms of discipline and the difference between punishment and discipline. We will also discuss principles of natural and logical consequences. We will discuss spanking and its negative effects on children. Participants will learn many forms of sensible discipline such as praise, suggestive praise, distracting the child, ignoring misbehavior, structuring the environment, controlling the situate and not a child, involving the child through choices and consequences, noticing positive behavior, time-out, increasing consistency and others.
