What Do I Do With a Child Like This?
Young children come to our programs in many packages: confident, curious, rambunctious, stressed, and sometimes uncertain. Many times caregivers are puzzled by the few children who act out, are quiet, or just seem as if they can't focus. What do we do with a child who doesn't display what we think is "typical" for that age? So, "What do I do with a child like this?" This workshop will give you tools for reflecting on the "puzzles" that may occur during your daily interactions with children who may seem hard to reach or understand, including: observation tools, parent questionnaires, as well as arranging your environments, and teaching strategies to support the child's learning.
