This workshop concentrates on nurturing the development of self-discipline in young children. Learning to respond positively to external discipline and making the shift to internal discipline are tasks that are challenging for many children. This class will focus on the role of the teacher in discipline, exploring how our own experiences and culture affect our reactions and how to understand the way children’s experiences and cultures affect their response to directions, requests and discipline.
