Supporting Young Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Early Childhood Settings

This session will provide an overview of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) including a discussion on characteristics associated with ASD, how characteristics may impact learning and strategies for helping children with ASD function in preschool and child care. Information will be presented via discussion and demonstration enhanced with visuals and video.
