Treating Challenging Kids - Think:Kids
Collaborative Problem Solving - Introduction
Erik Kola, RN, Think:Kids Certified Trainer, with the support of OHSU is presenting a Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) Introduction in the Think:Kids approach to challenging behavior. This exciting evidence based approach is derived from the Collaborative Problem Solving concepts outlined in the book “Treating the Explosive Child” by Drs. Ross Greene and Stuart Ablon. This two hour training is designed for caregivers in all aspects of the health care, education and justice systems that support families and children with behavioral challenges. Oregon has been a leader in this innovative model that has proven its efficacy at all levels of caregiver support. Both locally and nationally this approach has realized improved outcomes in treatment and ultimately has improved helping relationships between children, their families, and their caregivers.
