Baby Behaviors: Understanding & Appropriately Responding to Cues

Caregivers who understand and respond appropriately to an infant’s cues can help prevent both behavior and feeding problems. Participants will identify the differences between light and deep sleep patterns, discuss why infants need to wake up often, learn to recognize hunger cues, and compare ways to calm a crying newborn. Based on the research of University of California-Davis’ Human Lactation Center, the Fit WIC Baby Behavior Study, and California Baby Behavior Campaign, this workshop is a great tool for parents and caregivers of infants ages 0-6 months.
