Early Childhood Matters!

Creating an early childhood system that supports all children to succeed begins with understanding the unique learning needs of young children and what this means for the environments in which they grow and learn. This session will explore how this understanding of young children relates to the components of a high quality system and how it effects decisions about curricula, data, standards, assessment and alignment from prenatal to third grade. Participants will consider how partnerships for children with families, teachers, early learning settings, schools and the community provide the strongest foundation for children to succeed.

Additional information

Substitute Pay: Early learning partners and child care providers are eligible for half and full day substitute costs. Organizations and child care businesses will need to invoice the Douglas ESD/South-Central Oregon Early Learning Hub. Please include the name of the training, staff member’s name and the date of the training. Substitute reimbursement cannot exceed $13.50 per hour or $100.00 for the full day.
