Teaching the Bystander Effect to Reduce Bullying

Recent research has shown that educating students about bystander apathy and teaching techniques on overcoming the effect, has had an influence in motivating students to stand up for others when needed. In this presentation, we will discuss the concept and research behind bystander apathy and then brainstorm ideas on how to adapt this powerful lesson so it can be taught to various age groups.
