Promoting Learning & Activity in Your Child Care
PLAY Child Care

Reducing screen time and increasing physical activity in child care can make a huge difference for children's health and learning! When children spend too much time in front of screens, they are more likely to have weight issues, have trouble sleeping, and have attention problems. Screen time can negatively impact a child's brain development and learning. Screen time can also replace time when children are moving and being active. Children who are more physically active are healthier and learn better. This fun, interactive training will give you the tools and resources you need to improve quality in your child care by limiting screen time and promoting fitness. We will explore the health impacts of too much screen time and too little physical activity, then learn simple ways to reduce screen time in child care by getting kids moving! Participants will leave with resources and begin a professional action plan.
