Literacy Practices and Skills Workshop

Korie Buerkle and Mary Lynn Thomas from the Newberg Public Library will provide a workshop in partnership with Yamhill Headstart, as part of their desire to improve school readiness goals and to expand upon children's literacy skills prior to entering Kindergarten. The training will cover the 5 Early Literacy practices and the 7 Early Literacy Skills which will additionally help to support teacher's instructional support knowledge. The training will provide new ideas for preschool book suggestions, fingerplays and songs which can be incorporated into circle.
