The Benefit of Screening in Early Childhood with the ASQ-3 and ASQ-SE (Part 1 of 2)

Through lecture and group exercises, participants will explore child development, and the purpose of screening with valid, reliable and culturally relevant Ages and Stages (ASQ) screening tools. Participants will examine how developmental screening fits into a system of services in your local area, and discuss the benefits of working together with parents to conduct screening in child care settings. Participants will explore the asqoregon website, a free, web-based resource in Oregon that supports child care providers and parents in their screening efforts.
