In this session you will interactively explore the important role that you have helping children succeed in school and in life. You will examine Kindergarten readiness expectations and common core standards for Oregon’s children, research related to early years of development and how this information impacts curriculum planning. You will also apply teaching strategies that encourage, enhance and support children’s developmental expectations in the key areas of language/literacy, math and social emotional development. You will finish the session by examining your professional stars while supporting the children in your program to reach their successful life stars.
