Held

A hands on learning approach to the seven senses including sight, sound, hearing, taste, smell, vestibular, and proprioceptive through a sensory based activity station rotation.

It will also include handouts and resource suggestions.

Appropriate ways to accommodate sensory concerns both at school and other community areas will be covered.

Additional information

This is part of a series of trainings hosted by Club Northwest in Grants Pass for child care providers, parents, and volunteers who work with children.

Trainings will be held the third Tuesday of every month from 6:00 pm—8:00 pm.

Child Care Resource Network will provide certificates and enter training into the Oregon Registry for child care practitioners, to ensure participants’ training hours are recorded.

Trainer: Kimberly Larsen, BS Social Sciences, is a consultant, advocate and mother. She currently serves as the Executive Director for Families for Community, a local non-profit agency that supports families and children with disabilities.
