Oregon Registry Rewards Workshop
The Oregon Registry is trying to give you $$$. We are trying to give you hours of training at no charge. Here's the scoop: When you apply for a Step 3 through 12 on the Oregon Registry, you may be eligible for an Education Award. To receive an Education Award, you must be working in an Office of Child Care (OCC) licensed facility or you must be a Department of Human Services (DHS) active provider. There are three levels of Education Awards, called Milestones.
Milestone 1: $100 for Steps 3 - 6
Milestone 2: $150 for Steps 7 - 8.5
Milestone 3: $200 for Steps 9 - 12
This will also allow you to make the most of Oregons rollout of the new Quality Indicators project, giving you another free tool to market your child care program to parents looking for care.
You don't want to be left behind on this one. This workshop will walk you through the benefits the Oregon Registry offers for planning your career development, improving your standing on the QI Project, and qualifying for the education award. We will assist you with the paperwork, allowing you to leave the workshop with a completed application! With funds from the Oregon Community Foundation's Betty Gray Early Childhood Development Endowment Fund, the Scholarship Program provides financial support for training and education for providers working in family child care, center child care, Head Start, and before/after school programs.
We need you to come prepared: Please be sure to bring ALL of your training certificates and copies of transcripts for college coursework (can be non-official). Paperwork is not all that much fun but we will focus all our efforts into making it generate a little cash for you.
