Persona Dolls

This workshop is designed to give participants the opportunity to understand the philosophy of using persona dolls in their classroom to raise difficult issues with young children around issues of abilities, race and language, being excluded from play, name calling, and teasing. Participants will learn about the use of story telling through persona dolls to engage children in discussion of what are fair and unfair behaviors and to problem solve ways to spot the hurtful behavior. During the workshop the participants will create a persona doll along with a story to present to children in their classroom.
