This workshop deals with work by educational researchers and others who depict the stark, but often overlooks emotional and economic costs of stress and depression within our families and communities. We will talk about how stress and depression may impact and interfere with the economic conditions, lifestyles and emotional health of families and community. We will talk about the definitions of stress and depression, the impact to our families and communities, methods of coping with these conditions and the implications to children, families and child care providers.
