Using Observation to Understand Children’s Temperament

This two part class examines human temperament types and how to use objective observation to inform guidance strategies and curriculum development in child care settings.

In the second class meeting, participants will create a plan for utilizing observation results of temperamental characteristics of individual children in child care settings. This plan will include specific strategies to best support the child’s social and emotional development.
