Sensory Processing and the Young Child
2-Session Training

This 2-session training will provide an introduction to sensory processing and how it impacts a child’s ability to participate in learning activities and interact with peers in an early learning environment. There is a follow up activity, must attend both sessions for training hours.

Session 1 on Wednesday, May 7 will be an overview of sensory processing and how delays impact a child’s ability to play and learn with other children.

Session 2 on Wednesday, May 21 will focus on sensory based activities that are fun for all children. The content discussed will be based on how to adapt activities for children with sensory processing delays and how to design a sensory friendly environment.
