Read It, rhyme It, Sing It 2014
Best Early Literacy Books, Action Rhymes & STEM at Story time

Experts agree that reading aloud, singing and rhyming with children are the most important activities to prepare a young child for reading. They increase their vocabulary and teach them how to play with and create words. This session will introduce you to some of the best new picture books of 2013-2014. Presenter Heather McNeil, a children's librarian for over 30 years, will also lead you in interactive rhymes and songs, including simple STEM concepts. You'll hear books, songs and rhymes that are favorites for age 0-5.
