Intro to Inclusion and Respectful Accommodations
Introduction to Inclusion is an overview of inclusion, generally presented as a first module in a four-part series. This course reviews the history of support services for children with disabilities (medical model vs. empowerment model), the philosophy of inclusion, person-first language and the benefits of inclusive programs. The Respectful Accommodations portion of this training provides an overview of the philosophy of inclusion, insight into what constitutes a "respectful accommodation" and practical techniques to use immediately in your program.
